News

Our current building, built in 1991, is 3 bays double depth which houses 6 pieces of rolling stock. A storage building built in 2005 houses our brush truck. Approval for funding a 2 bay double depth addition to the fire hall has been approved and construction should begin soon.

An aerial truck, hopefully within 2 years, will be our next addition to our rolling stock.

History

The Nolensville Volunteer Fire Department was started as a community action project of the Nolensville JAYCEES in 1973. The original membership was 20 members, 21 members now make up the all volunteer department. The first pumper was a John Beam Hi-Pressure Fog Unit on a 1969 Ford F-700 Chassis, which was housed in a private garage until members built the first firehall in 1974. The department moved into its present location in 1991. The services provided by the department include Firefighting, Medical Response (BLS), Haz-Mat, and Rescue.
